takin

Takins are found in the eastern parts of Himalayas mainly in Chinese region. They have small horns, nose and a tail like bear. It has many things common with goats and antelopes. Their main habitat includes grass-covered alpine regions and rocky regions.
They form a small group with about 20 individuals. During summers they could be seen in herd of 300 individuals. They mainly feed on grasses, leaves, shoots and flowers. They can grow up to 220 cm and can weigh up to 350 kg.
