Gerenuks are known as long neck species of antelope. One can find them in the bushes and deserts of East Africa. The word �Gerenuk� has been originated from Somali language which means �giraffe necked�. They can weigh up to 115 lb and can grow up 40 inches.
Their life span can go up to 13 years. They are herbivorous animals who like to eat leaves, grasses, fruits, flowers and others. They are not a herd forming animals and move in smaller groups.
